SERIES "FRACTAL NATURE AND COLORBLOCK"

The series of originals and illustrations called "Fractal Nature Colorblock" was created from the desire to paint geometric color blocks, leaves, and tropical flowers merged with fine lines and textures.

The techniques include watercolor, acrylic paint, and pastel chalk on 200 to 600g/m2 cotton or cellulose paper.

The inspiration came after visiting the
"Zwischen system&intuition: KONKRETE KÜNSTLERINNEN" exhibition at the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart.

The artwork also represents the fusion of aesthetics experienced by the artist: The Brazilian nature and the geometry/abstract of the art, architecture, and design found in Germany.

The fine and delicate lines within the textures of the leaves required calm and patience. This process was relevant to keep the mind focused on the present moment.

The use of intense, vibrant, and fresh colors came from the artist's Brazilian roots. It helped fill the need for creativity and spontaneity during the difficult time of the pandemic.
